Black Market Codpieces and Coats for Snowmen

There is no way in hell that Sora/Kairi could ever work. Not just because they're teenagers, not just because I (and many, many others who aren't even yaoi fans) don't want it to, but because of one thing I see:

Sora is incapable of handling a relationship in which a woman is his equal. Period.

He can only see women in one of two categories: As innocent flowers in need of his mighty protection, or evil witches in need of his smiting. I think it's due to the fact that, simply, he has a Prince and Princess Complex like burning, and even in KH1, Kairi shows that she is not the one to want to deal with that shit. Kairi's too much of a friend for Sora to treat like one of the "Evil Women", so he's left with coddling her and treating her as if she was made of glass. This would annoy her and her annoyance at this treatment would confuse him, and it'd end with a lot of tears and/or screaming and/or an awkward breakup with Riku as the middleman, which puts a bigger strain on the friendship than anything else. All because Kairi is far too independent for Sora, and Sora needs someone he can be a prince for.


Basically, one can't give the other what they need, and it's all so very sad.
